The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) is a world-renowned conservation charity saving wetlands for wildlife and people. In the UK it operates 9 wetland centres attracting nearly 1 million visitors each year and some 60,000 school children. Its work ranges from threatened species conservation and research, to wetland creation and restoration in the UK and across the world. They work with communities, businesses and governments to help people live sustainably, to improve livelihoods, treat water quality and to provide flood alleviation. It is one of the world’s leading science and conservation institutions in its field.
